One killed in accident

A Marshall County man was killed in a three-vehicle accident Monday.

Coroner James Richard Anderson said Christopher Long, 31, of the Mullins Road area, was pronounced dead on the scene after the accident at the intersection of Highway 309 North and Deer Creek Road. It happened around 4 p.m.

Anderson said Long was driving north when his car was in a collision with a pickup truck going south. A third automobile, which was traveling south, was also involved.

He said the driver of the pickup was injured and transported to the hospital.

Long was an employee of Dollar General in Barton, according to Anderson.
