Maia Miller hosts Easter activities on Good Friday

Happy engagement to Mary Neely Jones and Kane Stricker. Here’s to a great time planning a beautiful wedding. Congratulations, y’all.

The south end of Memphis Street was turned into an eggstravaganza Good Friday. Maia Miller hosted a great-grandmother, grandparents, parents and a score of children in her home for a morning full of Easter activities. Two tables were set up with coloring pages, streamers galore and little bags cut in the shapes of bunnies for the children to decorate. Scrumptious snacks were displayed on a table that was beautifully decorated.

The children gathered for the hunt and took off across the street to the home of Walt Henley, who graciously allowed them to hunt in the side yard. His mama, Miss Betty, watched the them all from atop the side porch, in true Southern fashion.

A grand time was absolutely had by all and a big thank you to our wonderful hostess, Maia. It was good for this ol gal’s soul.

Congratulations to Jordan and Josh Mask on the birth of their gorgeous daughter, Kensley Rae. She was born Monday, April 1, weighing 7 pounds and 7 ounces and measuring 19.5 inches long. A big shout out to greatgrandmother, Vicki Swords, on the arrival of one more heart to love.
